What to do in Feltre

Feltre not only is a culture center, full of historic and cultural beauty, which makes the old town a must-see for tourists, but it also provides a wide range of outdoor activities for nature lovers.

This city is one of the main gateways to the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park, part of the Unesco heritage for his extraordinary value in nature and landscapes varieties.

Starting from Feltre, it is possible to experience the Dolomites Path, a trekking itinerary that involves the entire Belluno province.
Expert hikers could be interested in the Altavia n. 2 of Dolomites (an Altavia is a hiking path of more than one day subdivided into stages which lead to mountain refuges or bivouacs), known as “The Legends Path”. This trekking-mountaineering path subdivided into 13 stages starts from Bressanone, crosses many mountain peaks with spectacular rocky landscapes and arrives in Feltre.
If you are interested in putting together culture and nature, there is the possibility to experience a bike itinerary along the ancient Via Claudia Augusta Altinate, which begins at the shores of the Po’ river, passes through Feltre and many other towns and arrives in Germany.

Feltre also offers many nordic walking, trekking and mountain bike itineraries that allow tourists to explore the surroundings of the city in the outdoors, but also modern facilities such as an ice rink, a bowling ground and a cross-country skiing track. You can also experience the thrill of paragliding: in the summer of 2017 Mount Avena will host the 15th World Championship of this exciting sport!

And how do you end an exciting and tiring day of tours? We suggest a tasty dinner in the centenary Pedavena Brewery, well-known for its beers made with fine malts and located only 5 minutes far from Feltre.
